Getting in Touch with Nature
On the Path to Enlightenment
Being in a big city like Chicago has a lot of benefits. I don’t need a car, everything is in walking distance, and there tons of things to do and people to see. As a matter of fact, you can get so involved with activities; you can kind of lose yourself.
So today I decided it was a Peter day. I caught a train headed outside of Chicago into the rural parts of Illinois. It was great because I could just focus on myself and on nature around me. It turned off my phone and meditated while riding around and getting off at random stops taking in the scenery.
I think that it is important for each of us to take a “ME” day once in a while, turn off all distractions and become one with nature and yourself again. That’s how I work on my path to enlightenment.
